Join us as we discuss how athletes are amplifying social causes in 2021 through conversation, community interaction and a cultural presence, and explore how and why the athletes of the W continue to lead the way.

[Case Study] Mad Love: A Movement to Rally Around Female Athletes
Even with historical participation rates for female athletes in this year's Olympics (48.8%), these women still face inequality regarding their recognition, pay, and media attention compared to their male counterparts. Leading up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, Canada Basketball collaborated with creative agency Sid Lee to launch Mad Love, a movement to rally Canadians around female athletes in basketball and beyond. Ève Rémillard-Larose, Managing Partner of Sid Lee in Toronto, will present this powerful, bold and emotionally impactful campaign inspired by letters and stories from Canada’s Senior Women’s National Team that highlights how everyone has their role to play in changing these trends.
